How do I take care of my candle?

Recycle the lovely candle box we have protecting the candle. To ensure an even and smoke-free burn, the wick should be trimmed to a length of 5mm each time before lighting. Any longer, the flame will start to crackle. Never leave candles unattended and discontinue when 10mm of wax remains. In order to get the most out of your Deus Lux candle, burn it until the entire surface of the candle melts. Wax has ‘memory’ so it will follow the first burn so make sure not to extinguish the candle until the whole surface has melted. This usually takes 30 minutes. To preserve the elegant fragrance, do not burn your candle for more than four hours at a time and place a ceramic plate over the glass to extinguish the flame so that there is no smoke created. Do not leave candle burning unattended. Keep away from children, curtains and pets. Always protect the table or surface on which the candle rests.

How long will it take to receive my candles?

We utilise a courier service to send your candles to you. This is same day metropolitan cities, and 2 days for interstate. Regional areas will differ so please send us an email and we will get back to you with the right information. deus.lux@iinet.net.au Important: If you are not at the address supplied when the parcel is attempted to be delivered, it is your responsibility to organise the pickup or redelivery of your order within 7 days. Please ensure that the shipping address details provided for your order are correct. Deus Lux is not responsible for incorrect addresses, refused shipments, or unclaimed parcels. Parcels returned to Deus Lux by Australia Post for any reason will be subject to a returned charge of $15 and a resending fee of $10.

My product is faulty - what do I do?


Please contact us to obtain instructions before returning a product. Once we receive your return, please allow 1 week for processing.


Items are carefully inspected and packaged before they are shipped. Damage occurring en route is highly unlikely however should this occur please contact us as soon as possible. Keep all of the original packing material and we’ll provide you with instructions. We’ll investigate the fault or damage immediately.

We require you to:
1. Contact us to report the fault within 2 days. All returns must be authorised by Deus Lux Customer Service.
2. Provide proof of purchase.
3. We’ll supply you with instructions and investigate the fault or damage immediately.
4. We will organise the return of the faulty or damaged product to Deus Lux. Please note that products must be returned to us in their original condition and in their original packaging. Products must not have been opened or used.
5. Please note that refunds will be processed using the original payment method.
6. All returns and exchanges are subject to our terms and conditions.
7. Non faulty products: exchange or Deus Lux credit only. Please choose your purchase carefully as Deus Lux does not provide a refund in this case. Deus Lux does however provide exchanges or alternatively a credit to use through the Deus Lux website at a later date.

For an exchange or a credit on a product we require you to:
1. Contact us to report the need to exchange the product within 7 days. All returns must be authorised by Deus Lux Customer Service.
2. Provide proof of purchase.
3. We’ll supply you with a return authority and instructions on how to return the product. The item must be returned to Deus Lux within 7 days of the return authority. Please note that you are responsible for returning the product to Deus Lux and all charges incurred are at your expense. It is a requirement that the items be sent using Registered Post with the appropriate insurance to ensure the items are secure in transit.
4. Upon receiving the product it will be inspected to ensure that it hasn't been opened. Products must be returned to Deus Lux in their original condition and in their original packaging.
5. Once the return has been processed you will either be supplied with the exchange item/s of your choosing or a Deus Lux credit code. Please note that you are responsible for all applicable shipping charges.
6. All returns and exchanges are subject to our terms and conditions.

Deus Lux is not responsible for and will not accept the return of any item that is not returned in a new and unused condition. All returns must be authorised by Deus Lux Customer Service.

How do you make your candles?

It's been an exciting journey to discover the ancient fragrances that were available at the time of The Messiah, and which are still available today, bar a sacred few. When researching each of the seven named candles, we scrolled through scripture to reveal to us, the authentic fragrances available for our blends. In addition, we also researched the argriculure in Israel then and today to find the essence of ingredients available for each candle. We then went to work creating 10 prototype candles for each of the seven candles and eventually came up with the most powerful blend for each one. We hand pour each candle using environmentally friendly soy wax imported from Kentucky, USA, we use recycled glassware, re-forest certified boxes and finally essential oils (not synthetic perfumes) to fill your home with a glorious scent. Before each batch of candles are released, we pray over them. Our desire is to see the atmosphere change in your home, office, church, to that of peace, joy and a deep connection to the God that loves you.

We donate a percentage of our profits

Deus Lux has a specific purpose. Beyond bringing the fragrance of heaven into homes, we also give to those who are disadvantaged. God is 'Father to the fatherless, and protector of Widows", (Psalm 68:5) and for many years we've prayed for what breaks His heart to break ours, so that we can always place the needs of others in our sights. Each month, 10% of our profits will go to a chosen organisation who work on the frontline of issues that are dear to God's heart. Orphans, Children in Foster Care, the Fatherless, the Homeless, the Oppressed and the hungry. As we grow, we will be able to bless more and more people in these areas and assist to break the chains and bring them hope, in Jesus name.
